We are currently looking to hire a Lead Substation Engineer (Physical/P&C) to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in one of our client's office's across the U.S. or on a fully remote level (dependent on experience level). The pay range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000 per year, however pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with project team to create all design documents and drawings, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layout plan, section and detail drawings and application of mark-ups for project built drawings
- Specification development for the procurement, installation and testing of substation equipment
- Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with project lead, customer representatives, and other stakeholders
- Perform work safely and effectively
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience
- Experience in the design of wiring schematics
- Skilled in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Strong client focus and customer service
- P.E. or EIT Track heavily preferred
